About Our Karate Lessons in Lake City, South Carolina
We provide traditional karate classes for kids and adults at our dojo (school). The other core programs include self defense instruction, strength and fitness, boxing, and MMA training (mixed martial arts). Our Karate lessons are geared towards traditional training, as well as realistic self defense, confidence building, and personal development. Family and group discounts are negotiable. We aim to provide the best karate training and martial arts instruction in the greater Florence county and Pee Dee areas of South Carolina!
The primary style taught at our karate dojo / school is Heiwado (the style of Japan International Karate Center). This traditional karate style emphasizes quick evasive movements and hard direct strikes, as well as development of the mind and body. Our karate school / dojo is outfitted with plenty of training equipment, including a matted floor, weights, a boxing stand, jump ropes, martial arts weapons, and striking pads.
Scheduled Class Hours
Our business hours for group lessons are from 2pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday, and 10am to 2pm on Saturday. These classes run 1 to 2 hours each. Walk-ins are welcome, and you may observe or participate in one class for free.
Current Class Schedule at our Lake City, South Carolina Karate Dojo / School:
Integrated Martial Arts - Ages 13+
Mon.-Fri, 2-4pm
These classes provide intense, sports-like training for boxing and karate. MMA and kobudo (karate weapons) are also drilled.
Karate - Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Karate Classes for Kids - 4-5 (under 13 years of age only)
Karate / Boxing Warmups - 5-6 (all ages)
Family Karate Classes - 6-7 (all ages)
Adult and Teen Karate Classes - 7-8
Karate lessons - Saturday
12pm-2 (family)
Boxing and MMA Classes
Tuesday and Thursday: Boxing – 4-6pm; MMA / Boxing – 6-8pm
Saturday: MMA / Boxing - 10am-12pm
Private Lessons
Private lessons are $10 / hour and may be scheduled before or after group class hours. Please schedule private classes at least 2 days beforehand. If you cannot keep your appointment, give me at least 1 day's notice, or a $10 cancellation fee will be charged.
To advanced belt rank / senior students:
You're encouraged to attend as many classes as possible to ensure steady progress. You may attend these sessions at no extra charge, in exchange for assistance in coaching, teaching karate classes, and/or recruiting students.
Our Current Memberships and Prices
We are affiliated with International Fighting Arts Federation. As such, all students are required to fill out the IFAF membership form, and then send in both the form and the $25 membership fee to IFAF.
Our monthly tuition prices for our karate classes and other programs are as follows:
Basic Class Membership - $35 monthly tuition
One group class per day, three days per week.
Full Class Membership - $45 monthly tuition
One group class per day, five days per week.
Premium Class Membership - $55 monthly tuition
Unlimited training during group class hours (2 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday), plus Saturday training (10am-2pm).
Daily Rate
The current price for attending as many classes as you like, during group session hours (Monday through Friday, 2 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10am-2pm), is $10.
Negotiable Tuition Prices:
Family and group rates are negotiable, as well as equipment discount packages for new students. Please get in touch so that we can help you decide on a personalized schedule and payment program.
